Penny For Your Tortoise

As Jersey Zoo's Learning Manager, Fi loves sharing animals' stories. She hopes those narratives can connect us all to nature, and inspire us to care for the incredible species we share our world with. Penny's story is about nature's value: whether we see it or not, all animals have their own worth. Sadly, the monetary value of tortoises has often caused them to be poached from the wild. Durrell works to save tortoises and other animals around the world; the coins on Penny's shell represent the many countries where the charity is saving species from extinction.
