Eden
Location: Gorey Promenade
Artist: Caroline Parrott

‘Eden’ has her own jungle on her back, inspired by the habitats that tortoises call home. Artist Caroline has created each flower, insect and lizard individually in anodised aluminium. All the metal is hand printed and dyed, the colours are then sealed in before the metal can be cut. Using paper templates, the flora and creatures have all been cut by hand using a jeweller’s piercing saw. They were then filed and finished, before they were formed and attached to the shell. Caroline is a jeweller based in Dorset. She predominantly works in anodised aluminium and relishes the chance to work on bigger projects when she can.
